going to head out to watch some racing today. here's what i'm looking at.

r1: expressionist. back-classer 9 year old should get a dream trip here stalking the speed. most of these are stepping up in class, and the lone dropper, volterromo looks like he's going the wrong way. martel, while dropping belongs a few rungs down the class ladder these days.

r2: geniusatwork. espnioza abandons this one for likely favorite, lucky leo, who hopes to get machowsky off on the right foot today. a bunch of these are close in ability and i think we'll get a decent price on 'work who is shortening up after setting a ridiculous pace going long on turf. stalk and score?

r5: potrisunrise. love first time becerra and this one need only show some speed to be competitive in this lackluster group. proceed with care and macaneo will take money, and desrvedly so, but 'sun rise has the back class to win and i think rafael will have this one ready to fire today.

r7: castledale. first time dirt for this royally bred son of world-class pentire celebre. he need only emulate the deputy, who won the santa anita derby a few years back, to show that turfers can compete in the 3 year old preps out here. lucky pulpit and spellbinder scare me most- i'll always play against a brilliant horse like lion heart, who figures a very short number in here. 'castledale made a huge move to sweep to the front in the generous and has been training up gangbusters for this race.

r9: singletary. valdivia is a louse, but he can ride turf, and singletary should be a bettable number in here. he has tactical speed so should be sitting third or fourth behind headstrong runaway, rock n rosh and will likley get the first-over trip. yes, he has to hold off some monsters in here, but this inexpensive son of sultry song is only 4 and probably has some more upside in him. gets a good post and is my best bet of the day.

r11: seneca point. this may be the most wide open event on the card and 'point might be the right one. he's 12 on the morning line nad now gotes turf to dirt, route to sprint for mullins. should show more speed in here and will be a playable number.

good luck everyone!

sammy, southern image will be favored and should go well. i like star cross to run very very well today.

cerveza, PLEASE don't bet island fashion. she has absolutely no chance in here.

jimmy- olmodavor is my second choice behind star cross.

both back early, I see. When I posted that; didn't know Pl.Per. was scratched. Anyways instead of betting him, I singled him. Don't know where I'm at as results are slow in coming for some reason.

mazel-
No apologies necessary, luckily I didn't see your post because I do trust your judgement out on the left coast. She gave it a good try, huh? What a nice filly.
Wish somebody could have talked me off Irish Warrior...
